Markellos Kolofotias 

Markellos Kolofotias is a visual artist and educator. He holds an MFA from the Athens School of Fine Arts and an Integrated Master's Degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts, School of Visual and Applied Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In parallel of his studies he attended classes at the Facultad de Bellas Artes de San Carlos, Universidad Politécnica de Valencia in Spain, on an Erasmus scholarship funded by the State Scholarships Foundation of Greece. He has showcased his work in various group exhibitions internationally in institutions and independent venues such as; The Leonardo Museum, MOMus-Museum Alex Mylona, Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art, University of Arts in Belgrade, KYAN Project Space, etc. He has been distinguished at the 8th Biennale of Students of Fine Arts Schools of Greece and has been awarded the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Fellowship by ARTWORKS. Currently he lives and works in Athens, Greece.
